Flake, Rattle and Roll: Introducing Our New Pastries

There’s just something about having a wee pastry with a warming coffee as the weather cools down – it’s pure bliss. Speaking of pastries, we’ve got an exciting announcement to bake… We’re launching a new line of pâtisserie AKA French pastries. Ooh la la!

Don’t say we’re not nice to you – this new line includes delicious and freshly baked flaky pastries. And, because we like to shake (or, should we say flake?) things up for you, there will be different items available across our shops on different days. Variety is the spice of life, after all! 

Now we know you’re on the edge of your seat just waiting to discover what magic we’re baking up. Introducing the first of our mouth-watering new pastries: 

  • Don’t be choco-late or you might just miss out on our pains au chocolat! 
  • Turn your frowns upside down and pick up our award-winning croissant, which picked up a National Silver Award at the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards 2022!

To make things easy for you, we’ve created a timetable of sorts for you to screenshot and save as a reminder of when you can come and grab your favourite pastry delight.

We can almost taste their golden crusts and smell that freshly baked dough… Perhaps because our Smithton bakery has been transformed into a pâtisserie akin to one you’d stumble upon in the middle of France! 

Every pastry has been made with a sourdough starter, which we’ve lovingly let develop for three days before it gets anywhere near our oven. That’s the secret to each deliciously flaky bite!

Over the coming months, we’ll be adding to the range, so keep checking back to find out when we’re adding the next batch.
